  Vintage Revival

& Object Trouve.

*NEW PIECE ADDED 4/10/06 ~ Scroll down now*

Here you will find a collection of completely One Of A Kind Crowns, Coronets & Tiaras.

Each piece is inspired by an Object Trouve / Object Found.

The concept is to take really special but dated pieces of 20th century jewellery or other interesting objects & breath new life into them.

Each 'found' piece sets the tone for how the design will look & the colour palette used ~ Chantal has hand picked the 'found' pieces for their beauty & craftsmanship & qualities which allow her to seamlessly blend them with her own unique style & create beautiful new head-dresses. Deliberately choosing vintage pieces rather than modern reproductions both ensures quality & that each Vintage Revival head-dress is a one off. The 'found' objects are mostly vintage pieces of costume jewellery but can also be interesting pieces of glass, etc.

The pieces on this page are sold as seen - you buy the item in the photograph. Please use the Contact page to register your interest in purchasing one of these pieces or telephone Chantal on: 01296 661296. Please have the reference number & design name to hand ~ the price of each piece is listed in the description.

Customising an Object Trouve of your own. If you have a piece of jewellery that you would like to have made into a Tiara or Crown, please email images of the front & back with an idea of what you'd ideally like & Chantal will let you know if it's possible to create something for you. Note: You would have to be willing to have the piece permanently remodelled.

The Vintage Revival section is the designer's, Chantal's, playground ~ a place to try out new ideas, work with really interesting centre pieces & create pieces that can even spawn ideas for the main collection ~ a place to finally use those limited edition Swarovski crystals that cannot be repeated on, the hand blown glass drops, etc.

The plus to this section is that no bride will have a head-dress like yours & for brides leaving the purchase of their head-dress too late for the usual 6-8 week turnaround time* on pieces ordered from the main collection, these pieces** are avaliable from stock.

* League times can be longer during busy periods. ** Unless pieces are marked as 'sold'.

Art Deco Sparkler.    Ref: VR/ADS/270

Description: Designed around a vintage silver & rhinestone bracelet, this silver 9 pointed tiara rises majestically from it's jewel encrusted base & is tipped with 9, clear Swarovski faceted crystals. Like the bracelet, the Tiara has a modern feel to it.

Specifications: 9.2cms at the highest point, 15.8cm at the widest point, 9.3cm wide at the base.

How to wear it: This is a real princess style piece & would look good worn in front of a smooth, classic updo ~ it would work well with or without a veil. An alternative look is to slide it into the side of a French Pleat & wear it like a fan of jewels on one side of your hair style.

Price: 270 GBP + postage.SOLD

Medici.    Ref: VR/M/325

Description: Designed around a vintage broach with pearl detailing & a large oval emerald green stone, this gold 3 pointed tiara has a Renaissance look & would suit period gowns with a regal feel ~ especially those with a Renaissance, Tudor or Medieval styling. The broach makes a wonderful centrepiece & set the mood for this piece ~ the shape & details where echoed with the use of diamond shapes in the structure & the studding around the top edge of the tiara which was worked in cream faux pearls & emerald Swarovski bicones. Emerald is a rich, royal colour & this piece would particularly suit a a red or gold gown or traditional shade with green in it or, it goes without saying an emerald green dress.

Specifications: 7cms at the highest point, 18cms at the widest point, 11cms wide at the base.

How to wear it: This is a period style piece & would look good set quite far back on the head, sloping slightly back & worn in front of tumbling curls partially or fully pilled up into a loose, pretty style. It could be worn with a pale gold veil or on it's own.

Price: 325 GBP + postage.SOLD

Ice Princess.    Ref: VR/IP/255

Description: This design is created from a rhinestone necklace that had a gorgeous central motif which has been inverted here to form the centre of this very sparkly tiara. The size & shape is very similar to a tiara in my main collection called 'Sparkle' but with more of a central peek.

Specifications:7cms at the highest point - 3cms at each side - mid-way across the filled in wirework each side about 2cms deep. 12.5cms at the widest point, 9.5cms wide at the base.

How to wear it: This would suit classic & princess style dresses. It has a very regal look & not being too high overall, would suit a number of different hair styles. As above, this one would look good set quite far back on the head & worn in front of tumbling curls partially or fully pilled up into a loose, pretty style. It would also look good slipped into a clean, swept up Audrey Hepburn / Breakfast At Tiffanys style i.e. a high big bun, big soft loop or french pleat with some height at the back.

Price: 255GBP + postage. SOLD
